Seeing the light in the dark

I’m trying to smile now... erasing all the pessimistic thoughts behind my head. I am amazed how brave i am to face the music. When i was still small, i was afraid to fall and get myself wounded. Now that i have reached this age, experiences have taught me how to cope up with my fears. Even the small things done with great love can give me the grandest pleasure for a lifetime. If circumstances do not allow, the failure may cause me pain, but I’d rather get through the misfortune than have regrets of having nothing to do at all. You will know when you really want something or someone for that matter, if you ready yourself for all the risks and consequences that will come your way, this is despite of the knowledge that you are putting yourself in a more fragile state, and there are big chances of you being hurt. It is as they say, if you find something that makes you happy, grab it with both hands, to hell with the consequences!

Life is no bed of roses. Each has his own set of challenges. It just varies on how we treat life as it is. One cannot afford to kill himself with cowardice. To experience life you need to take millions of risks. Triumph is not just all about getting your desires. You may not believe but, one can be a winner even in the event of loss, you just have to figure out for yourself the value you have gained in those experiences.

Like for now, i am about to take one of the biggest risk in my life...

Nuggets day!

Toots and I went to Powerplant Mall tonight to watch Shrek. As expected, we changed our minds again. We didnt watch the movie and ended up having coffee. Powerplant is really one of the most relaxing and aesthetically rewarded mall as ever, diba toots? He told me, five times that night, that it is his favorite mall. Parking is just enough, mall is well lit and properly airconditioned, the strategially positioned shops sell items of good taste, and since it not so crowded, customers are usually attended promptly and efficiently. It's definitely a shopping haven for an addict like me (toots already described me as such).

Weekend Memorabilia

The weekend has ended. Aside from the shopping galore trips and spending spree getaways (Hehe, OA!), there are 2 meaningful happenings that i must say, made this week really memorable and priceless. One involves my mom and secondly, my cousin, both of which manifested the value of reconciliation. It was like a bag of stones was lifted from my shoulder :)

I am alive

For those who got worried what happened to me and where am i since its been awhile from my last post, i'd like to let you all know that i am doing well and great. I am still alive! Yeah, my toots and I had a petty misunderstanding Friday last week (obvious ba from my last post?!). It was the first and proud to say that it didnt last long. We promised not to be sad anymore and i am glad how things are smoothly running each day. We discover new things and get to know each other on a different level. These wonderful discoveries make us stick together more and more ... a million reasons for us to keep the lovin :)

Met up with the chibinicks last night once again. Welcome back Brian! It was nice seeing him again with our Tanya. You really look sweet together. Have a safe trip to HK. Tara is getting married soon! We wish you and Stan all the best in life. Sayang cant make it to her Chicago wedding. Tanya will be there to represent for the rest of the chibinicks. Meg and Carl, thanks for the ride! :) As for my Bryant, mamaya na lang, bulong ko sa yo...heheh. Seriously, thanks for being with me and my friends last night. Mwah mwah.

not-so-sober

Guess where i am now? i am lost. dont know where to go and how to proceed to my destination. alone. alocohol driven. no car. 11:37pm. pathetic.

He ordered one hamburger, one order of French fries and one drink. The old man unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it in half.

He placed one half in front of his wife.

He then carefully counted out the French fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife.

He took a sip of the drink, his wife took a sip and then set the cup down between them. As he began to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them kept looking over and whispering.

You could tell they were thinking, "That poor old couple - all they can afford is one meal for the two of them."

As the man began to eat his fries a young man came to the table. He politely offered to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man said they were just fine - They were used to sharing everything.

The surrounding people noticed the little old lady hadn't eaten a bite.
She sat there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink.

Again the young man came over and begged them to let him buy another meal for them. This time the old woman said "No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything."

As the old man finished and was wiping his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again came over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food and asked "What is it you are waiting for?"

She answered.....................

Its a big big day for me

Feels like a Monday on a Wednesay. Weird. Its maybe because i came from a long vacation. I didnt go to work from Sat - Tues. Its almost 10am and i havent started it yet with my piled up work to be finished.

Hmmm...a have a big plan today. I am thinking of making this day really special. If all goes well, my life will go through a big change today. Hopefully, for the better. Im keeping my fingers crossed. Oh God give me a sign.

Will tell you all about it later on.

Ranting over Spiderman

Kaasar, my toots are I are quite disappointed. Nabitin kami.... si Spiderman kasi.

Its so hot outside, just spent the day bumming around the house. So bored, toots and i decided to have a halo halo at razon's but we ended up having a sumptuous dinner at heaven and eggs. hehe. takaw tlga. I ate the porkchop special (with potato wedges, eggs, and pancakes) and my toots had the salt and pepper pork with rice. We thought this was not enough so we ordered the pinoy nachos (crispy lumpia wrappers instead of tortillas, cheese, tomatoes, onions and yum yum adobo flakes). As usual, super busog. Hehe. And then after munching, i had my car washed. While waiting, we thought of watching Spiderman right on time after my car was done. We arrived at shangrila mall 3 minutes before the 11 o clock showtime. We were in super rush, but to our dismay, we were blocked by the guard. Sold out na daw tickets! Hay, bad trip. I guess were not meant to watch the movie on the first day of showing. Anyways, we still have a lot of time for that. We passed by the starbucks at silver city mall and decided to have a taste of the banana java chip frap. Toots compared it to drinking banana flavored cerelac. It is delicious but quite pricey for a drink.

We went home around 12:35am. I received a text from Jacqui, informing me that carl (my inaanak) was rushed to the hospital and had his nose stitched. He bumped his nose somewhere. Poor baby carl, i hope he recovers from it soon. PBB uplate is now off air, crush ko na si Robert and his cutie smile. Hehe.

Back to work again tom, hay. So tamad. Gotta get back to werk mode.
